I got a letter by scion
It says that quote' "Certain Early 2013 Model Year Scion FR-S Vehicles Registered in the 12 California Emission Standards States Engine Control Module (ECM) Update"
Did anybody else get it?? |
No. Perhaps because mine wasn't an early model. Mine was built in August. It appears some of the issues were corrected before my build as there are a lot of common problems I haven't experienced in 4,500 miles.

I got it and there are some people talking about it in the warranty subforum.
I got it, it's nothing we didn't already know.
got it too. is it necessary?
I got it as well!
I got it too. It's just an update to meet emissions requirements. Nothing big.
It's a simple ECU flash, had mine done last week. I had a similar issue when I had a MINI S. It's needed for smog regs and I received a certificate that the work was done. The dealer said the cert might be needed when I renew my registration.
I got it too, I'll do later LOL
Got it too. I'll probably won't get to it until after the new year, though.
I didn't get it, but was told about it when scheduling another service. Taking care of a bunch of small stuff next monday
Before I had my ecm reflashed due to california emission standards. I had put in a K&N air filter. So after I got from the dealership; I noticed that they ran the car. I think 3 miles put on. No harm I guess. But definitely felt different. I felt better response and a good growl. So if you get your ecm flashed. I encourage you to drop that filter and feel the driving pleasure, later catz.

got mine the other day!
i'll call soon and see what it's all about i suppose |
