e85?

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but I didn't really feel like searching, and I have more than one question :D
Basically I just want to know if our cars will run on e85, and if they will, what kind of power/mpg difference will there be? Better or worse? We just got a station selling it in town and I'm interested in using it because it's so much cheaper than regular gas.

You're gonna pay about 800$, 500$ if you know someone with a cable already, MPG about 24, so worser, about 20whp+ if its a stage 2, oh yeah and they run on e85

You "didn't really feel like searching"? But still want answers to your questions? Quite the sense of entitlement you have there.

You'll need to get a tune to make the most of it. Gas mileage will suffer, but power will go up. As it is, the car is not meant to use any more than e10.

E85 is a dog. Power is less, MPG is less. It should be a little cheaper, but the loss in MPG will be greater than the savings. Avoid it.

Let me fix that for you. You while in a direct comparison gallon to gallon you won't get the same power, in utilizing more fuel your MPG goes down, while your power goes up.

It's a higher octane, so you get less knock and can tune your car more aggressively, in addition to the greater use of fuel adds a cooling effect to the engine, also reducing the chance of detonation, allowing for higher psi making it very effective in boosted applications.

Yup, very lazy. Attachment 23504

Anyway E85 has less energy but more power. If you want to save money on fuel, stick with Gasoline. If you want cheap race fuel, get the tune and run E85.

Don't listen to these guys. E85 is NOT safe for you car, it will make it go slower and rot your crotch..
Avoid it at all costs.

Sarcasm is seriously hard to detect on the internet..

I always have to laugh at the "search police" on here. I don't get it... Is this place not for questions and help? So what if a question gets asked more than once? If you feel so strongly about it, just don't reply at all. No harm no foul.

But anyways, thank you to the people who answered my questions. Seeing as I don't have any sort of a tune, and don't really plan to get one just for this purpose, I'll probably stick with good 'ol premium unleaded :D

its just annoying having original posts being buried in the mess of stuff that we hear over and over. this is a place for questions and help and if you looked, you would have found it.

Well, you aren't going to get the best reception with an opening like that.
