Have you recently purchased Volk or SSR Wheels?

If have you recently purchased Volk or SSR Wheels I would like to hear of any good or bad experiences with the dealer(s) you worked with. If you prefer PM then that is fine.

What concerns me about these choices are upfront payment, a long wait and ending up with a non-reputable dealer...

Most will require at least 50% payment on custom 3 piece wheels if not the full amount. what are you looking at, that will make a big difference on wait times?

Reputable dealers:
No limit Motorsport
Ravspec

Both of these guys sell a lot of these and would be my choices.

I TRIED to purchase SSR wheels a few months back...their cast 1-piece offerings in 5x100 have been "discontinued" for the time being.

FWIW, Evasive also can get you pretty much anything you want.

The upfront payment are these "special order" type items is common.

Very. Along with a standard 8-12 week wait time, though truly special order wheels can often take upwards of 3 months. Definitely heard of people waiting 6 months for their Volks/RAYS.

I bought some SSR wheels had to pay for the full amount for them to make the wheels! how SSR works, once the order is placed it takes a good 2-3 months... but let me say! WOW what great wheels! and the customer service is top notch! I love my SSR MS3 wheels :D

Go with an authorized dealer when you're dealing with a lot of money. This is a list for Rays (Volks)

I recently bought Rays lug nuts from No Limit Motorsports and everything went smooth so I would probably go through them if I wanted Volks, not to mention they are a vendor on this forum. They also have good pricing and since you're also from Cali like me you don't need to pay sales tax.

yeah, always buy from an authorized dealer, that's with anything you buy, especially high dollar.

Custom orders are really expensive, you are looking to pay well at or over msrp. Every often, the dealers have good deals since they get their shipment in a bulk. Just keep looking at those specials, even check the different forums like hondatech, nasioc, and iwsti.
At one point i was able to buy advan rs wheels for just little over 2k.

Counter Space Garage can also take care of your Rays wheels order.

We do custom order Volks at the same price as normal Volks. The catch is that we need to do 5 sets at a time, and the wait is typically 3-4 months.

Blah, I am on my 5th month of waiting already
