we need a private seller temp and rules.

there do not seem to be any rules for the private seller market place

this is what I propose for a template:
What is your name? : John Doe
What is your Email Address? : JohnDoe123@gmail.com
What is your Phone number? optional : (303)123-4567
What is your State? : CO
Reason for sale (not optional)

I also believe that the following should required and not having these at minimum should be grounds for thread to be locked.
Price required
Pictures required

just a thought

City, State would be more helpful. You could be 6+ hours away in CA

I don't think these are needed. They're not standard on other forums that I frequent, but price and location should be.

Pet Peeve: all the Bay Area people that just put Bay Area. :P

If I'm selling something, I don't think I should have to provide any of the what you proposed, other than 1. What I'm selling 2. Price 3. Location 4. How to contact me (PM or otherwise).

Reason for sale being not optional? Why do I HAVE to tell people why I'm selling something? Not happening...

That is way too much info indeed.

For parts provide pictures and price. Provide location if not clear in profile details.

For vehicles pictures, price, and Vin.

This is the standard template on most forums I visit.

You don't think pictures should be provided? I don't really care what the format ends up being I just think there needs to be one, and I'll agree on what you've posted +pictures.

See above. I think people should PM for VIN, people get really sensitive about VINs being posted online

Lol reminds me of how now when you return a closed item to Walmart and they have to ask you "anything wrong with it" .. One time I jokingly told the guy I couldn't open the package and he ripped it open lmfao.

I don't think anyone needs to state why they are selling , that could however be a question proposed from the buyer to the seller over pm.

Because I only need it for the weekend, and now I want my money back...

Like I said, Just a suggestion it's to easy to remove that if the mods want to do a standard format.

Most forums you visit require a full name and phone number? Maybe in PM but I would never post that and haven't been to a forum that requires it.

Standard rules are photo(s) of thing being sold with username, date, and website it is being listed on written on a paper next to it. Additional info is price, item condition/description, and some sites ask reason for sale but I don't think that is really necessary.

Just first name. None require phone numbers but suggest it. I think condition is probably more important then reason for sale.

Too much information that isn't necessary. Here's what I got. Here's where I am. Here's how much I want. Contact me or don't contact me. It's your choice.

City and state
Price
Item description and condition
Contact info

I think pictures are great, but not mandatory. It's really to the sellers advantage to post pictures, and the buyers responsibility to ask for pictures if they are serious, and want confirmation of an item. Mandatory though? No.
