Am I the first one to place an order for Release Series FR-S
 

Just placed a deposite for an FR-S Release Series 1.0, even though I don't know what color it will be and how much it will cost. Hope it's not pink and will not cost over 30K.

God I hope it comes in yellow!!!! I have my white and am happy but seeing that yellow one floating around these forums kinda gives me wood...

They got a deposit, they can make you a "release" series when it gets there. I have seen dealers make SS Chevy's, R/T Dodge's, etc with aftermarket parts.

Yea, I'm sure they will throw on a Five Axis body kit and spoiler, tint, all factory upgrades, etc. and call it RS 1.0

Its going to happen eventually, but the last I heard from Scion is that they wanted to do all 3 release series at once, and the RS8 tC came out approx. 5 months ago. You have about another 7 months of waiting if this is true.

OP has a total of 1 post. I'd have to question the credibility of the claim at this point. That is, unless he literally placed a deposit on something that isnt even offered yet just to get a phone call when it is.

Release Series will be out when the 2014 model FR-S is released, which is probably may or june 2013...

So much negativity in this thread. There are plenty of dealers willing to take your money even for an unanounced but expected product. The OP may have simply bought a place in line for when the dealer starts taking actual orders.

Now is the time to get in line for the 2014 models...its only like 4 to 5 months before the factory starts making them.
