Limited Edition Colors?
 

I know this is just speculation at this point, but looking at past examples, some cars debut in a unique color, and with only a limited number of units.

On top of this Scion is notorious for this, with historical examples on the XB and TC with the RS X.X etc. each having a unique color and limited to 2000 units.


Do you think there will be any colors that may be unique?


My prediction: That there will be fewer of the orange released, maybe even for first model year only. Maybe this is the 1000 units talk?

I don't think Scion will be doing the RS X.X business, at least not at first. They may try and pull it off later to boost sales, but because the plant is shared and output will be pushed to the limit to keep up with sales, they will not take the time to paint special colors just for Scion to do their RS business.


Opinions?

The 1000 units has already been dubunked as the passed on information did not come from anyone at Toyota. As for a special color, it's certainly possible since other manufacturers have done it before. All these options and possibilities are making my head spin!

I'm sure Scion will have some kind of special colors. They may not even be limited, they simply may just have different choices than the Toyota colors.

I was hoping that the BRZ would come out in plasma blue pearl but I'm not sure if that's going to happen - if they're saying they may have an sti version later down the road they may be holding that color for sti only cars.

Scion does a "release series" for all their models every year. and they usually do a special color for each one. I'd expect the RS1.0 around December time frame of next year.

Lol judging from all the colours they have right now all they're missing is green, purple and yellow. My votes on green lol.

Scion tends to choose from some of the colors that were already used on previous Release Series. So we might see one of these colors on the FR-S RS 1.0

Honestly if none of the colors appeal to me, I will most likely get matte green vinyl wrap. Once I get over that color I can take the wrap off and boom new color for free later on down the road :p :happy0180:
