Installing the q300 myself

Spray the hangers with silicone lube before removing them, makes removal easier. Only issue I had was tip alignment but eventually I got it. I think all u need is 12 and 14mm sockets and wrenches.

Don't tighten the bolts completely until you have everything installed. Just get them close and then allow for some wiggle room. Make sure the tips are where you want them (helps to have a friend holding them, and then torque everything to spec.

Penetrating oil spray might be necessary to help remove the old bolts but since the car is so new I doubt you will have much trouble.

once you have it set, torque it all down SYMMETRICALLY

Though it's already been mentioned, I want to emphasize that lubricating your hangers is really something you don't want to skip out on. When I did it myself, I was on jackstands in a cramped 1-car garage. A spray of WD-40 made the difference between me struggling with one damned hangar for 10+ minutes and debating whether I'd have to abandon doing it myself and get towed to a shop to something I could slip off easily with one hand.

Also, if it's your first time, don't believe any estimates on time. While I wasn't rushing and started at 1am while already quite tired, I probably quadrupled the amount of time it takes to install a headerback that other people who are using power tools and/or have done it before. The pride you feel afterwards is totally worth it though :D

when installing, start from the rear and work your way forward. It should help with keeping everything aligned.

Also, a jack is not enough so make sure you use jackstands!
