nice car. I am so jealous.

My flossy knob came today. See above.

Suspension is done for a while. I got these on and an alignment with about 1.5 camber.
-Whiteline Rear Control arm - upper inner bushing (camber correction) KCA326 -Whiteline Front Control arm - lower inner front Anti-Dive / Caster Correction Kit KCA434 -Whiteline Front Control arm - lower inner rear bushing W0509 -Whiteline Rear Trailing arm - lower front bushing W63414 The car handles so well now I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself. :) The Anti-dive bushings are nice. The front end doesn't seem like it dips at all when slamming on the breaks. :) I think it may even handle better than my Lotus Elise did. I need warmer weather to get here so I can throw on my summer tires/wheels (RE-11s) and see how much cornering I can get Lil Red to handle! I think the only other thing I may do to the suspension is get Billstein or Koni shocks in a year or two with a non-progressive spring that still keeps the car about 1" lowered like the ProKits I have. |
Nameless Performance Revised Offset Axle Back Exhaust installed. Here's the link to the video. Sounds much better now.

I now have the Nameless Performance sport catted helmholtz resonated over pipe front pipe on the car.
This is a followup video to my previous video that was only on the Nameless performance axleback 8" offset exhaust. This video has the inclusion of the Nameless sport catted and helmholtz resonated over pipe / front pipe. My first impression of the over pipe was that it seemed just a teenie bit quieter, but also a teenie bit more deep/grumbly sounding, which is good in my opinion. Perhaps this was because of the helmholtz resonator. I still have the stock mid pipe with resonator and the stock headers. You can also probably hear the transmission whine a little in this video which is because of the Whiteline trans bushing and the Perrin rear shifter bushing. The car seems like it picked up a little power. I can't remember how much people were getting from just the over pipe but I think it was between 10-20hp. Obviously you can't see much as it's dark but it's more about the sound anyway as the car looks the same as last video as I didn't get under the car to get video of the over pipe. Pictures of it are on Nameless Performances website anyway. Watch both and see if you notice a difference. [ame="http://youtu.be/c5fnqHTggpc"]http://youtu.be/c5fnqHTggpc[/ame] |
Forgot to mention I also changed the rear diff fluid with Motul 75w-90. That stuff stinks something fierce! I think it's the worst smelling part of the car by far!

@stockysnail, I have the Whiteline Rear Trailing arm - lower front bushing W63414 in a bag still. Can you comment/post a photo of them installed? I wasn't able to figure out where they went exactly.

Wow, this combo sounds exactly what I am looking for! Freeking sweet btw. It's like it enhanced the FA20's natural sound (not sure if that makes sence) but I love it. I think this combo and along with the header will be perfect or at least for my taste. Thanks again for the videos and keep up the good work. lol.

Good video with the Nameless offset sound, sounds really good without being too loud.
Good build, and nice to see a fellow LR BRZ too  |
I almost did the same setup as you for the intake the Perrin CAI with the Perrin Inlet tube. The price was what ran me off though. Combine that setup with an exhaust and then a full tune your looking at some serious money. I love the look of it though. Going with the FA20 Club CAI and a ECUTEK Stage 2 Tune. If you want to save money you'll save $200+ depending on what exhaust you go with. Nice build by the way!

Installed the Perrin radiator hoses in red & Lamin-X Foglight Covers Yellow (pics in first post in this thread)

Sonar/Spyder black led tail lights (YDSFRS12LBLEDBK) added today (see first post for pic) on my lunch break. I think they look different/cool on the red car. I think it would only look good on a black, red, or white car however.
