Invasion to Neptune’s Net

What made you guys want to do this event?
Started off with a thought, “Hey lets gather up a few cars and cruise up to Neptune’s Net for lunch” and then turned into a 75+ car cruise to raise money for kids in St. Judes children hospital.
How did you guys get so many cars to participate?
It started with a Facebook event page of a cruise up to Neptune’s Net to making it an event on 4 different forums. We also had 4 FR-S participate from Las Vegas known as Vegas86 club. They left at 2a.m to be at the meeting spot.
What Route was taken on the cruise?
We started in the city of Torrance in our first meeting spot with approximately 45 cars. We merged onto the 110 north to 101 north and we exit Sunset blvd. We cruised Sunset Blvd through Hollywood, Belair, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Malibu until we reached Pacific Coast Highway. Once on P.C.H. we made a right and we cruised in single file line and line reaching 1 mile back and after a 20 minute cruise on P.C.H. we arrived at Neptune’s Net.
How did you raise the money?
The money was raised by selling raffle tickets. Some of different items which varied from clay bar kits to Chemical Guys quick detailer to H.I.D. kits and our main prize which was a $250 voucher for Penske Toyota/ Scion of Downey were raffled off.
Should we keep our eyes peeled for a 2nd annual event?
From the turnout we had on Sunday our answer is YES we had 75+ cars and next year we want to have it bigger and better and more sponsors to sponsor our event.
