Wow after the Wheels gate saga the car is truly deserving of this award and hopefully leads to other manufacturers producing fun reasonably priced RWD sports again if viable.

What do you consider to be a non-bias motoring award? I know you are not denying the 86/BRZ is deserving in these awards, just curious if you believe there is an award that is not bias?

The reviews of journalists themselves. Such as Chris Harris, Jeremy Clarkson etc. Guys that generally just like cars and have no regard for advertising dollars. Awards from big magazines mean nothing. Their pages are funded by the cars they adjudicate. Give car X a bad review and manufacturer "evaluates their position" with said magazine.

You are correct. Not once have I said the 86 isn't deserving of critical acclaim. I just think these end of year awards are kind of like reviews for dummies. Like when people skip straight to the number of stars a movie gets without reading the guts of the review.
