what brand gas do you use?

I usually use qt or race track bc they're the cheapest but I heard shell n chevron are the best. So what brand do you use n why?

Whatever the GASBUDDY ap shows me that has the best price for premium.

I've read too many horror stories regarding gas and chirping. Will only have Shell v-power running through mine, as I did all my previous cars before that

Shell V-power eliminates chirping?

Negative. That's all I run and it's cricketopia.

Chevron with techron

Not saying it does, but I've read people switching to Shell V power, and it quieted it down.

Here at home I use COSTCO. When I'm on the road it's what ever gas station I come to when I need gas. My FR-S was built in August so maybe the chirp was corrected before my car was made as I've not had a problem.

Either Shell or Sunoco 93.

Sac-BRZ 12-14-2012 01:48 PM

Always use Chevron or Shell.. Seem to get better mpg out of Shell though.

MOBIL. Everything else causes loud chirping for my car. The sound is still faint at times but much less noticeable.

calis5nest 12-14-2012 01:55 PM

shell v power and I do believe it helps minimize the chirping. Car sounds like a field of crickets when I use something else

CrazyWookiee 12-14-2012 02:06 PM

Shell V-Power or Petro-Can Supreme 94 (Same as Sunoco 94). I have been recording every single fill up and monitoring the chirping very closely.

Using ethanol free gas (Shell V-Power 91) definitely reduces the amount of chirping I hear. It normally starts going down on the second tank. If you switch over from something containing ethanol, it doesn't quiet down immediately.

I have been using Shell V Power that I discovered by accident reduced the chirping. I normally prefer Chevron but in this case Shell.
