Evolution Industries Light weight Flywheel :)

So as i was doing my oil change i found my trans had started to leak. At this moment i did some further diagnosis's and decided to remove my trans to properly inspect where the leak was coming from. It happen to leak at a great time because I was given the opportunity to test out a light weight flywheel for Evolution Industries. Many of you may not have herd of this company because they specialize in motorcycle parts and Honda parts. I assure you they are high quality parts. Many companies do their own research and development which is fine but many of the other well known companies dont take the time to be NHRA, IDRC, and BOTI approved like Evolution Industries. Because of their testing methods i highly recommend them to others.

Now back to why i am really writing this. I have only had this flywheel on my car for one and a half days but i am loving the outcome. As some have stated (in other post) if some flywheels are too light it can cause poor idle issues and potential stall issues. Well this is not the case for this flywheel because it pretty much idles like factory and when i come to a stop i have yet to feel the car shutter to a stall. One thing i also noticed was that my shifts were a lot smoother then before (might be because i was use to having a light weight flywheel stock in my 4AGE blacktop 20 valve). The throttle response feels great through out all RPM's and is amplified at higher speeds. Now i did use a factory clutch and it works great. The flywheel is in the 10.5lbs to 12lbs range. I know many of you might think that is way too light but in my opinion its perfect. I daily drive my FRS and cant find any issues with having flywheel installed in my car.

Evolution Industries is also coming our with their light weight crank pulley and i will soon have this installed in replacement of another light pulley (will keep the brand crank pulley out of this post because it is a very high quality brand). The only reason i will install EI's pulley over the other one is because it is race tested and made out of a stronger aluminum then any other make of this product (and still crazy light).

I dont really write up too many reviews but i felt very happy with upgrade.

Are you referring to the flywheel bolts

I'm interested in seeing some of the race proven results. I haven't heard anything major on the racing front for flywheel

That is something you would have to get from them as I am just a please customer. All I know is they have had the product made before hand and still haven't released them to the public and that may be due to testing (I'm not sure). All I know is if you have ever seen their cam gears you would be very impressed.
