the old guy sounds like a jerk off. i think he thinks the redline should be made higher so they can squeeze out more horses. tada says they kept it at 7400 for durability concerns. he also adds that the car will continue to evolve every year including the engine. a lot is said over and over about how they wanted to minimize electronic controls interfering with the driver feel and feedback as much as possible.

The car will continue to evolve? So what like an iPhone? You buy a iPhone 3G and then the next year the iPhone 4 comes, which is both faster and better looking? I really hope they don't do that to first year buyers >_<

well, all cars have minimal upgrades every single model year. i doubt there will be a drastic difference between model year 1 and 2 on this car.

Lol first year purchaser 197bhp third year 210 bhp FML but I can see it happening

just like a smart phone you might forever be waiting till next year.. i still have friends with flip phones that say the same thing
