Which Shift Knob?!
So I have narrowed it down to this shift knob, the Perrin one.
http://ft86speedfactory.com/perrin-f...black-140.html And the the Cusco Shift knob as well. http://ft86speedfactory.com/cusco-sp...-knob-333.html I would also LOVE to get my hands on the TRD one, that apparently some other countries have got already but nothing for the US! If anyone knows where people in the US can get their hands on this one. The ones on some of the online sites list it for $169.00. Seems a little high. Let me know what you guys think!!! |
I think Flossy, but that's just me :)

I like the perrin shift knob better :)
|
i agree with flossy
|
I heard perrin is good but probably weighs the same as stock. I have heard great things about flossy as well. However i think I am personally going with the red JDM one.

I'm gonna order a flossy.

i would recommend any shift knob that is heaver then stock. |
I saw the TRD in the flesh and was suitable unimpressed... it was like... meh?!
So I got the flossy... which just arrived and it absolutely CLASS!! The Perrin and Cusco knobs are also... meh?! not much heavier than stock and don't look special so my question is.. what exactly is the point? |
My 0.02 here...
I had never in my life thought about getting a custom shift knob. Unfortunately, I saw one in the forum I loved but was really hard to get as its discontinued (STI Titanium knob). I was initially set on getting the Perrin one. Every single time I am going to buy something I do TONS and i mean TONS of research before deciding which way to go (that ensures no regrets on the purchase). After doing all of this, I came to the conclusion that while I was looking for an under $50 shift knob, it would be nice to go for quality under $150 since this will be used at least for the life of the car. I got the Stainless Steel Sphere from WC Lathewerks. I can absolutely tell you it is worth every penny it cost (off the top of my head I think it was $135). Keep in mind this is coming from someone who couldn't care less for a custom shiftknob. I wholeheartedly recommend WC Lathewerks. Chris (owner and machinist) is very honest and straightforward. At least look it up and research it before deciding :w00t: |
