It's cool to see one stripped down so far. Looks like the structure is way beefier and well braced than some of Subaru's older cars (My old GF wagon, I'm looking at you :D).

I don't think fender braces are going to be nearly the upgrade in feel on this car as they have been on past Subarus. Nicely done 86 design team, nicely done.
