@Mark Slide Squad, That was a very enjoyable video-- i especially liked how you showed multiple angles. The rear angle was great, because you could see that the black FRS was really following a clean and optimum racing line just to keep up with you. You could see how he could gain on you under braking. Anyways, i really enjoying watching your video, great driving.
@dphan, I started your first video and as you were waiting in line i heard a sound and was like, "--sounds like Start Again." Then the song started and i was all, "WHOO Kaskade!" Awesome.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. That black FR-S is Robispec's car. His car is awesome, he's stripped out probably about 275 lbs of weight, some bolt on engine stuff, awesome suspension and a big brake kit. I need a big brake kit so I don't lose so much time under braking ;)

Oh, i see-- that completely explains how he gained on you so drastically in the brake zone. Wow, it's very interesting to hear the modifications and see how they effect your lap [in real time]. It gets me so pumped up and excited.

I don't think it's the BBK as much as him just having a higher Mu Pad and braking harder.... my $0.02

I'm surprised you haven't cooked the B-force considering how quick you are!

Oh, I have cooked the B-Force, haha. After lap 5 of that session the brakes were pretty much mush city. I was going to get some CR pads, but I plan on getting a BBK, so I'll just wait :)

Track Day Miller Motorsports Park Utah

This is video from my track day with the local Porsche Club at Miller Motorsports Park Utah, this is the East Course, technical, lots of different corners, some elevation changes. Very fun; this is my first real racetrack track day. I had an excellent instructor most of the day. This is a rather long video of my last session, solo. It is obvious I haven't yet perfected my lines but the last couple of laps look better. The car handles so well, I was familiarizing myself with the handling and gaining confidence, but that comes easy with this car. If you get a chance to run here I recommend it, a first class facility built in 2005, this east course is 2.5 miles, the west course is about 2 miles, and combined they are almost 4.5 miles. The West course has faster more flowing lines.

This is also my first event outing in the FRS and finally the first event of the northern season. First autocross is May 5. Next time out I will be ready to really push it.

The car is stock with Dunlop ZII's, TRD catback, Perrin intake tube and
drop-in filter.

WOW that track is BEAUTIFUL!

I just wiki'ed it:
Quote:

At almost 4.5 miles (7.2 km), it is the longest road racing facility in North America. It is about ½ mile (0.8 km) longer than the previous holder, Road America. The Outer course is one of the fastest road courses in North America, with AMA Superbikes posting average speeds over 100 miles per hour (160.9 km/h).
So jealous.

Hey guys, quick question here on taking videos. I have a GoPro Hero 3 Black edition that I used for the first time but it turned out pretty choppy. I was filming in 1080 at 30 fps....after doing some research it seems that 60 fps would be better but just want to see what others are using? Im going to drop it down to 720 since i don't need that high of quality too. Thanks and I hope I can add a few more up here soon.

Notes/Comments: This was a double race weekend and my best time was in qual with a 1:59.7. That's .8 seconds off my track record there which was made when the track was brand new.

I get a great launch on the start but get stuck in the marbles on the outside and couldn't commit to the corner. Lose 2 positions that I have then fight for...

Ultimate Racing 3" Catback / Hawk Pads
Group: Mostly dedicated track cars including Cayman Interseries along with a GT3 and a Superleggera

Hot August afternoon, 95 degrees and typical God awful humidity. Track was very greasy which always makes Roebling interesting in the summer! Best laps over the weekend were a couple of 23's but 24's were the norm. Want to get back in cooler weather with a little or lot more muscle. Another note: completely forgot about traction control and hit the sport button on the fly entering the hot pits (never again). Can Trac be turned completely off while the car is moving?
