Pensacola Area Meet and Drive
 

Hello Everyone,

Our last meet was over in Spanish Fort, trying Pensacola this time. The plan is to meet up on Saturday, December 22nd at the Dairy Queen/Exxon on Scenic Highway (exit 17 on Highway 10) at 10am. We'll hang out a little bit (probably 30 minutes or so) and then head out on a drive. Should be out for about an hour and a half to two hours (the distance is approx. 92 miles) and it will bring us full circle back to Pensacola in time for lunch.

if it was a little bit earlier i could come out for the meet up.. but have work at 1030.

I'm not positive if I have something going on that weekend yet or not; If I'm free I'll be there.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Have one snag though. I went and tested the route that I was planning to go on and found that its...not good. There are some curves, but its mostly straight and flat on roads that are rough and poorly patched up. I am working on some other route, but so far I havent had much luck. The only route I've done in the area that was decent was the one from the meet a month or two ago, starting in Spanish Fort. If anyone has any ideas feel free to voice them or let me know. I still plan on doing the meet one way or another, just not sure on a route for a drive.

Since we don't have mountains there really aren't any great roads for driving unless you want to do double the speed limit. We could just take Scenic south and head over the bridge and into Pcola Beach and head down the beach road to Navarre beach or we could do some Interstate runs over to Hwy 87 and then down to Navarre Beach and take the beach road to Pcola Beach.

Wish I could make it. Feel bad not showing up after I helped "organize" our first meet. IF I make it at all it will only be for the meet n greet. G/f son bday party is Saturday.

I totally understand. If you can't make it, no big deal. There will be other meets. I'd like to do a meet once a month or so and keep varying the location.

Anybody interested in moving it up to earlier maybe 9am so that Evan could make it before work?

I have an appointment at 8:30...i might be able to do 9:30 or later, not sure. I will also see if i can get it changed.

Update, I switched my appointment, so I can make it earlier on Saturday if everyone else decides that is what we want to do.

Earlier is definitely better for me.

Same here. What time ya planning for now? I'd still only be able to make the meet though.
