DJ BOOKINGS FOR SCION EVENTS

would anyone happen to know how I would be able to get bookings to DJ for official scion events? :party0030:

Try contacting your regional Manager for Scion. They sometimes help with putting on the Scion sponsered events for their area.

Granted, I have no experience with actually DJing for stuff, but I have made my own sets before. Make sure you have your sets up somewhere where the promoter can listen and get a vibe for what type of music you play and how your mixing is. If you don't have your name out there then you might want to do that first. Try local clubs/bars/etc and see if you can talk to the manager to show him what you play. Getting your name out there is big, since word of mouth spreads quickly if you're good. Also, if you're serious about this, then you'll need to invest in the equipment to DJ. I can't comment if places have their own equipment, but I doubt the lower end places do. Maybe a speaker setup, but not mixers/etc. Make sure you have an ample amount of music to chose from and can mix on the fly depending on what venue you're playing, not just playing a pre-recorded set.

I have been playing for a long time... well established in new york city. website, my own promotional team and ive worked in various fields in nightlife for the passed 13 years. My main interest is playing and certain scion sponsored events and getting my press kit into the right hands to be considered for such events.

How would I go about finding out who my regional manager is for Scion?

Tip of advice. Regional Manager won't do anything... unless RM can give your info to PR. All is done by Scion PR staffs.

I guess their pr staff would be the ones to contact then. Thank you. Now all I need to do is find out how to get in touch with them.

Go to their event & find Scion name tag ppl. Give out your business cards, talk around, sell yourself, find more info, all the fun stuff. ;)

Or have a right connection

I know around the midwest. Our Regional manager had our car club attend the IQ release test drive event. They also helped put on Go Exposed in Cincy this year as well.
