The Top Gear 2012 Award winners have been announced and Jeremy Clarkson has named the GT86 (FR-S / 86 / BRZ) as his pick for the Car of the Year! Just look how gleeful the man is in the car
The accolades and awards that the 86 has collected prior to this is nothing short of astounding and this is just a cherry on top!

What's is really motivating, is suddenly people are standing back and seeing a car which most people ridiculed and the flack and sarcastic remarks I got when I bought the vehicle, ARE NOW SILENCED.

Toyota has never been about the numbers game with their performance cars (except sales volume of course) and the 86 has proven to be a real world hero rather than a posing pouch or a pub argument winner. It puts a smile on your face every time you drive it even at sedate speeds...

So I just bought the TopGear SA magazine and read Jeremy's article on the 86 being his Car of the Year. I have got to say that I'm still so happy with this car. And reading reviews from from critics like Jeremy raving about my car is awesome!! :thumbup:
