matte finish tails on raven

playing around with the idea of matte finish on raven, whatcha think? light output is the same as any other tint, nightshades etc. yes I know not as bright as stock but hey looks sexy i think

Are you certain light output is ok? My neighbour's Mazda has the same level of tint/smoke on his tails and I can barely tell when he brakes during the daytime.

to each its own i guess, but not really diggin it :/

Seems ok to me. think too, alot of tints/sprays you cant even see the inside reflectors in daylight. looking here you can clearly see reflectors. and I like it cuz you don't see it often all are glossy.

It looks like you did a great job with them, but they are just not my taste. Reminds me too much of old Cavaliers.

Nice work, but... shiny car + flat lights = not so smooth IMO

encity5 12-09-2012 06:13 PM

the mattes tails dont really match or compliment the cars ravens gloss. makes me think the talights arent actually functional. maybe pics of the light on?

besides the actual look which is just my opinion, looks like a good tint job.

yeah, I think I like it because of the fact I hate the factory tails. I like it, just not sure if I'm 100% yet either. it's dark here now. I will try and get some daylight pics tomorrow.

Doesn't fit the body of the car (like others have said). If the car body was a matte finish, it might look better, but on top of that light output decrease, this just doesn't seem like a good idea...

OP - I share your hatred of the stock tails by the way

Hardrock4445 12-09-2012 07:03 PM

thought about a light coat of gloss

ScionFrsFan 12-09-2012 07:28 PM

I actually like them. Nice job

One thing you can't really see from these pics is how the lights match the lower diffuser. Ill post one tomorrow of both done with a full rear pic

Looks great. Nice way to contrast the smoothness of the cars paint. Really need to see these with the lights on .

Personally I say just platidip them completely or remove them and replace them with bricks. FACT: Vehicle lighting and reflectors are totally unnecessary.
