Thoughts on ease of speaker replacement?
 

Hello everyone,

I was wondering what your thoughts are on the ease of speaker replacement. I have an 04 Solara and to upgrade the speakers I had to take off both door panels for the front speakers, and for the rears, off came the seat belt door attachments, all interior rear side panels, and finally the rear deck panel. It seems toyota makes it very difficult to access the speakers in a lot of their cars. (Don't know about Subaru)

Lets hope to access the speakers you just pop off their covering panel to make audio upgrades cake.

Door panels will need to be removed beyond that who knows at this point.

The ones in the dash look like they are going to be a bitch!!

Hopefully it is easy to remove the mesh and they are screwed in the from the top...!!! if not i don't think i will ever replace them!

From the mega gallery it looks like the door panel won't be that easy to get off. Regardless, I don't think I will replace the speakers anytime soon.

I am not sure whether I'll take tha race trim or high end trim.

I'm hoping the base model only comes with two door speakers and thats it.

There is also two speakers in the rear shelf too. Well they look like speakers.

A total of 8 speakers.

No, those are child seat hooks not speakers.

Nope, two speakers...but hey we will find out in 2 days...

highly doubt its child hooks but dont look like speakers at all to me either really

you can see clearly the speaker in the side panel

i was thinking maybe thats a cubbie hole for people in the back but that makes more sense tho
