You thought Jeremy would immediately pick the most expensive or most powerful car here, didn’t you? Well, he didn’t… he picked one of the cheapest and least powerful. But he had his reasons. The Toyota GT86 is a new way of looking at an old problem: how to have fun in a reasonably priced car. Now, TG has a long association with cheap thrills, but the GT86 tries very hard to re-educate a generation of hot-hatch motorists on the joys of rear-wheel drive. And it succeeds, by being exciting, relatively cheap and accessible to mere mortals. It’s good, people. Be excited.

“I like the GT86 because it’s come barrelling into the bottom end of the marketplace with a big dirty smile on its face and a suggestion in the way it stands that it wants to have fun with your middle parts. It’s a car designed for one thing only: fun.”

Best line that he says:

"There's no need to drive anything else."

Great find. Thanks!

Yet another honor for Toyota, Subaru, and Tada-san. Once they do the official Top Gear review, this car will explode in popularity. Let's just hope they can build enough!

I mean, on the actual Top Gear show... Unless I missed it? I know they showed a part on the worst cars film and this little clip but I'm not sure how many people watch these compared to the full reviews in the main show. As I said a long time ago, I really hope they do a full challenge/road trip with these cars. :D

These awards keep us in good resale-value territory :)

Yeah, true. I'm interested in seeing the lap time Stig make on their track

I don't always agree with JC but he got it right on this one. "There's no need to drive anything else"

As the accolades keep stacking up it's for sure that more and more people are going to be wanting what we already have and that can only be good.
