We still don't have the details about the car, other than two photos and a hand full of statistics :p

We haven't even seen an interior shot of the BRZ!

They will not start competing with each other i think.

Subaru will release an BRZ STI later on with the appropriate pricetag ofc.

ROFL.... If the Subaru isn't at least $5000 more than the Scion in Canada I'll eat my shoes. Subaru Canada pricing is ridiculous.

For the record, SOA blog has stated that these two cars will be marketed differently. The stake that Toyota has in FHI is too small to convey outright ownership - so therefore, the price, the marketing, and the sales of these cars has to be kept confidential and there cannot be any price collusion between the two companies.

Unlike a joint GM/Pontiac badge engineered project where prices were known and calculated for each model to target as many market segments as possible (or to overload a single segment).

Sedan version
Hatchback version (shooting brake)
Hybrid version

Sky's the limit now that they have the basic architecture in place...

That would be so cool.

I might buy a sedan version of this for a family car someday, should I ever need one that is, and if it goes on sale.

If SOA Blog is implying that Subaru intends on charging more for the same car, well, they've lost my business. I suppose I should go drop that on NASIOC, since Subaru clearly doesn't pay attention to this site. :(

I don't see SOA charging more to charge more. Either they will be very similar in price and features, or the BRZ will come with more features and cost more to account for that.
