Yup. It's cool though. I'm all about the delayed gratification.

so to me it's like if a BRZ sell Toyota gets something out of it and if FRS sells then Subaru get something out of it, but during a an interview they say that each car will break even and they don't gain profit. So they're not getting anything out of it @__@ Well they'll be competition no matter but, with that rumor of only 1000 units I'm gonna go with which ever will sell it to me at closer to the 25K price point and has the units to provide.

I do got a feeling that most of the forum and club here are trying to purchase the Toyota and not the Subaru.

friendly club competition is totally welcomed.

They get research and development and technology exchange. So... its not really a loss. I think its too easy to write off knowledge and technology as a loss when you just look at a spreadsheet.

I think now that they've developed this chassis and drivetrain and if its very successful they might branch it out into other models in order to make money.

Sedan version
Hatchback version (shooting brake)
Hybrid version

Sky's the limit now that they have the basic architecture in place...

Yup your right, who know maybe the next wrx which they keep hinting is a coupe might use this platform. Now to wait the couple of days until we can see the BRZ. The day we get all the info and the day we see the two cars side by side it will be glorious for all of us here on the forums.

If this is true Imma so wait for it. Im a sucker for better suspension, the more aggressive body styling, and hopefully better brakes. lol

It will be interesting what subie will do differently with an STI version, but no one really has any idea as of yet as to when/if one will come out.

Might be worth waiting a year to let the kinks get worked out and see what Subaru has planed for the BRZ and new WRX/STI.
