Will Subaru wait for TMS now that Toyota made an official release?

Like the title says. Toyota released their version to the public a few days early, and with what seems like competitive leaks and teasers over the past month, do you guys think Subaru will wait until TMS, or will they drop more info beforehand? I am hopeful that the latter will be the case.

I think Subaru will reveal its car later, because it is better. Most will lose interest in the Toyota. LOL

iff2mastamatt 11-27-2011 04:53 PM

I'm sure they will spill the beans once the Toyota hype dies down.

Hawx 11-27-2011 04:56 PM

I'm betting on TMS they will probably get more attention if they do, plus it's only a couple of days away.

Base BRZ, FR-S and GT86 will all be the same with minor differences, price will be exactly the same.

They will not start competing with each other i think.

Subaru will release an BRZ STI later on with the appropriate pricetag ofc.

:bs:

That stuff about pricing and competition is just not true... at all.

Navi 11-27-2011 06:29 PM

It's what i think. It makes no sense to compete on prices between the brands.

They all belong to one big parent company so technically they all profit don't they?together as Fuji heavy Industries?

Buggy51 11-27-2011 08:11 PM

Its only 2 days -_-; I think they can wait.

ryun84 11-27-2011 08:22 PM

Subaru hasn't really been known to leak information/photos/etc. in the past. Don't see them starting now.

Zaku, Two guys below are correct. Toyota owns a big part of FHI, which has 6 companies includes Subaru.

Ya, Subaru is outstanding at preventing early sneak peaks. I have no clue how they pull it off.

I mean the '08 Impreza, nobody had a clue what it would look like (not even a whiff of a clue) until Motor Trend leaked a photo like a week before the debut, and thats about the best case scenario there.

Heck, the '08 US spec Forester XT Sports model which had STI wheels and front lip spoiler, nobody had any clue they did that until they started showing up on trucks at dealer lots!
