Frostyman's E-85 tune saga

I'm making this post in an effort to not threadjack the FA20Club tune thread.

Recently I purchased an FA20Club E-85 tune from FT86speedfactory, and I have to say that as a company, if they sold clothes and food too, I'd never shop anywhere else. Fast response time, quick shipping, and they even helped me out with a mistake I made. Really, best company ever. I digress.

My tune arrived and after numerous technical issues with the crappy laptop I was using, I finally got the software installed. That's when I realized at 9:45 PM on a Friday night, that I never got a tune ROM. GAH! I PM'd FA20Club here on the forums, and got a response within 5 minutes. No joke, 5 minutes. He set me up via email, and after some back and forth with updates and other things I failed to accomplish, I was ready to flash the car.

God, I felt like a retard with all of the mistakes I made with my setup. lol.

Next day I got some logs to him, and got a new tune file. Then a CEL for being too lean. Again a new file, this time no CEL. So, I've been running the same file since Saturday, or Sunday, I'm not sure which day I got the last tune from him.

Today, (Wednesday) I dropped my car off before work at a local tuner and had them dyno it for me. Unfortunately, the dyno plot was worse than stock, and the awesome CEL popped on again. This time I'm running rich. REALLY rich. So rich that it's not showing up on the graph, because the air-fuel-ratio is too low, rich.

I've emailed FA20Club again, and again I have a new file in my mailbox. I will flash and log this evening, and this thread will be updated again as needed.

Thanks for reading,
Alan.

Sorry to hear that Alan i have faith you will be fixed up tonight. Never seen any of them running that rich i am sure it was probably a typo/fat finger and it will be good to go. Keep us updated and if you need any help just PM me too.

I tell you what, man. Even though my tune is acting up, I'm ready to buy the 93stg2 from them still, that's how much they have earned my business. I hear that a second tune is on sale till end of December too, so I can go back to normal pump gas on the cheap.

You will like being able to have both without reflashing, it's really convienent. Have him put the e85 on map 4 and stage 2 93 and it's really nice. I'm going back to 93 as temps drop here and keeping the e85 for special occasions.

i got the 93stage2 and i love it. FA20club is amazing to work with. his customer service combined with is "i will get it right" attitude sets him above the rest.

i'd love to take a ride in your car to get a feel for the E85.

FA20Club kills it on the replies and status updates as well. :) No doubt they will have you rocking shortly.

Get a retune immediately. Try NOT to drive it. If you are really running that rich, you'll risk "washing" your cylinder walls and screwing your rings.

I have gotten it reflashed, and the difference was noticeable. I took about 40 minutes worth of logs to send him too. Gotta get this mofo right before the scion meet on saturday!
