Will e15 void the warranty?

This could be a major issue for us (looking at YOU, chirping fuel system!), has anyone seen this gas yet, and does anyone know if it poses a problem for the twins?

I thought the service bulletin said the chirping was aeration in the HPFP? And aren't people running E85 (as in 85% instead of 15%) with tunes (not that a tune would protect the fuel system form corrosion)? Need more specifics. I knew ethanol is a problem for older vehicle's fuel systems, but just saying it could damage newer cars "over time" is not very descriptive. Like asking for an exact measurement and someone says a "pinch" or a "dash."

It was (at one time) thought that the difference between US gas and JP gas might have been the cause of the chirping. That was all I was referring to.

Manual says - no more than 10%. So technically they can void engine/fuel system warranty. Whether the system is okay with e15 over the longer term - who knows.

AAA hates Ethanol so they regurgitate fear mongering pieces. Needless to say if it can run higher blends of Ethanol, which has been done with the Twins, lower blends are not an issue.

Ethanol has been used in the US since the 70's when it did cause problems with rubber and bare steel or unanodized aluminum. New cars should not be a problem unless the manufacturer messed up.

Hmm, the sidebar in the article says the following:

Companies who say their warranties will not cover fuel-related claims caused by E15 — BMW, Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen

Wonder if Toyota screwed up ALL their cars then?
