How long until *other tunes?

A simple plug and play tune for 400* bucks. For example, you look up a mustang tune set up and theres millions. Lol alot in the 200-500 range. :thanks:

I'm wondering the same thing, i keep holding back an intake waiting for these tunes...

ScionFrsFan 12-04-2012 07:47 PM

Yeah i love the tunes that are out but for a college student 850 is kinda expensive for a complete kit :(

If you buy just the tune, the FA20 club or Visconti are both under $400. The extra cost is the software license and cable which allows you to datalog and flash the ECU anytime you want.

As per Wikipedia these are the sales of mustangs. Needless to say in the 2005 model year they sold more cars in the US alone than this car will sell in the US in its entire life cycle.

Yearly American sales

Year Sales
2005 160,975
2006 166,530
2007 134,626
2008 91,251
2009 66,623
2010 73,716
2011 70,438

Looking at other imports i dont expect tunes to get too much cheaper especially with cobb not even trying the market.

Dynotronics offers it as well, they are a forum sponsor now. I have it on my car and its awesome.

ScionFrsFan 12-04-2012 09:32 PM

the tunes are under 400...but you need a cable and licence :(

JoeBoxer 12-04-2012 09:33 PM

Find somebody local to borrow a cable and you should be able to get tuned for 500.

ScionFrsFan 12-04-2012 09:36 PM

thats the thing tho... do you guys think there will every be tunes without the cable licence set up?

If you have a local tuner who has the cables, and licensing then yes.

You *can* mail your ECU to FA20club to have them flash it as well, just means you're without your car being useful for a bit.
