Haven't seen the video yet, but if i had to wager a guess, I assume the following made the list..as they usually do:

Honda Accord
Honda Fit
BMW 3-Series
Porsche Boxster
Mazda MX5

Was i correct?

Sweet! :)

Congrats to Team 86 for building such a great car!

ZetaVI 12-04-2012 04:19 PM

Really good year for the twins!

Seen the list before, but, good to see the videos too. Thanks for the post.

Makes me feel more confident in my decision to buy this car each and every day.

Didn't C&D record a 0.96g skidpad result with the FR-S? Should have used that number in the sidebar chart for maximum :respekt:

Easy to miss is the BRZ/FRS prominence in the list of 10 Sins and Virtues (you need to look at the footnotes to see what car they are talking about): http://www.caranddriver.com/features...irtues-feature

Sins:
None. They list the BRZ/FRS as a contrary to the sin of overly wide tires.

Virtues:
MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS: The best way to connect to a machine is to be connected to a machine.
PERFECTLY TUNED SUSPENSIONS: Do it right once and forget adjustable dampers and computerized anti-roll bars.
PERFECT STEERING WHEELS: Right diameter, right feel, right cover. Leave off the buttons for radio, phone, and concierge.

Excellent!

Great list of cars in general! I'd take a BRZ for the weekends/track and an A7/S7 for a daily driver if I had a six-figure income :)

In europe the GT86/FRS/BRZ would blow all of these cars by far ! :-)
Remember that ford ... was sitting at the bottom of the poll at same price tag in term of 'best driver car'.

i think these are generally good cars and many of them deserve to be there but its hard to take car and driver seriously. i love miatas but it hasnt really changed in seven years. im beginning to wonder if there even needs to be a current 3 series, miata, boxer, accord or other typical cars for them to even place them on this list.
