LHD vs RHD Strutbars?

I'm wanting to order the Carbing strut tower bar, but the only place I've found it has it listed for RHD cars only. In their description, it specifically states that it is not compatible with U.S. cars. My question is, what makes it not compatible with our cars? I'm almost tempted to buy it and find out. I've seen the same disclaimer on a Cusco bar also, so I'm sure there is a difference. Anyone know what the difference is?

does the strutbar come with MCB? if it does, then you RHD and LHD have diff MCB locations.

I'm not familiar with what "MCB" is.

Here is the exact piece.

Master cylinder brace. If its just a basic strut bar it should work fine. It looks like that might have the MCB. The strut bar would work but it would have a pointless RHD MCB

Gotcha. It doesn't mention a brace, but then again, it seems the description is loosely translated Japanese. The picture looks like it has the MCB though..

I find it odd when it says it's for Scion FR-S, but not for US cars....Which other country has Scion FR-S?

EDIT: http://www.frsport.com/Cusco-Front-S...D_p_53498.html

That's the Cusco one with MCB (Or BCS as they call it), there's a picture there to show you what it is.

That's a good point about being for the FR-S. I'll just get it. If it has a brace, I'll just have it there not doing anything, or I'll take it and have it moved to the left side.

It's probably easier buying the Cusco one with the MCB that is made for LHD cars.

boucher 12-01-2012 10:47 PM

I already have Carbing chassis braces.

Anduz 12-01-2012 10:53 PM

again, can't confirm if the mounting point is any different :(

boucher 12-01-2012 10:59 PM

I'll do some more research before I order, but I'll probably still get it and see.

they are usually welded on and you would have to ruin the integrity of the bar to flip it. Just get the cusco one or see if caring has one without the cylinder brace.
