Actually seems pretty pricey for 0-1hp.

The sound has likely improved, but I feel like you could have saved a bit more and gotten an intake for that price.

I can however see this being a good mod if you already have a header back exhaust.

284 bucks doesnt seem that bad for a muffler delete. Would like to see the finish product with the tips on. Is that loud tho that u need someothing to adjust volume? Im only asking because im looking into a muffle delete since they are inexpensive and have decent hp gain. any chance of a video to hear how it sounds?

i have the Berk dual tipped delete and it's not obnoxiously loud. i really like it. i like the sound better than any other aftermarket catbacks and the gains are even supposed to be better than most of them as well. idk if the group buy is still open but got mine for $299 shipped. i'd definitely recommend it

In other words Superhatch, you're saying that everyone that want an exhaust is wasting hhis money and is better an air filter?? I'm looking for an exhaust where I can gain a minimal HP, gain a pretty exhaust sound with the option to silence it near like stock when i dont want to hear the loud exhaust. I think this is the best option and remember that my muffler delete has a Exhuast control valve that cost $120. So the regular price of a muffler delete is about $160 without ECV

I think it's pretty fucking cool man. Make sure to put up a vid to demo how well it works.

I was trying to sat that the muffler delete shows almost no gains in hp in any of the tests I've seen, and paying nearly 300 for sound seems a bit of a waste to me. The tips aren't likely to change the sound to something deeper since they are just run over the smaller pipe, so you paid for all show no go when there are options out there for not too much more that could give you show and go.

Also, if you deleted your muffler, whats the dB difference between a single and dual muffler delete? (which is in essence what you'r doing with the Apex'i part)

Cliffs: Save a little more and buy an exhaust.

In the dsport mag, the muffler deletes were the best performance-wise...albeit the loudest. I think paying just 300 for a muffler delete is better than 1000 for a catback. It all depends on future mods though. A header back exhaust with a delete will be annoyingly loud. That's why I chose a catback.

And as for an intake being better, they haven't shown much of a gain for 300+ as well. Without a tune, I'd avoid the intake...my opinion.

JDMenrique 12-02-2012 12:13 PM

if im not mistaken the muffle deletes were actually showing the highest gains...
