front license plate mount?
 

sooo my fr-s had the license plate mount bore into my front bumper even when i requested not to...
i really hate it
is there any other license plate mounts thatll make it at least look a little bit interesting?

There's the GrimmSpeed relocation kit. It hangs it off the tow hook, so it's off-center.

i drive a white fr-s though. if i remove the original front plate mount ill have two big nasty holes on my front bumper.

anyone know of one i can put in the same spot as the original license plate mount?

My friend has an evo, and they made a custom license plate europe style match it to your license plate, so it covers the middle part of the bumper which looks unique, and he mounted the license plate on the windshield.

he never get pulled over by cops.

Are you sure they drilled the bumper and not just the grill?

think that would fit over the holes on my bumper

technically they drilled the bumper AND the grill... pissed me off so bad. i left the dealership fuming

One of the guys on that discussion bought it and he said it covered the holes drilled by the dealer. I assume it'll work for you too. Maybe ask him just to double check? The guy who bought it is in Cali too so maybe you can even see it in person before picking up a set.

Im looking to get one from perrin I think that mounts at the toe hook. Luckily my dealer didnt drill any holes as per requested. Ill wait and see if I actually get hit with a fix it ticket first though. I havent had a front plate on any of my cars in years with no issues.

My dealer asked me if I wanted it on there when I arrived to pick the car up. I said absolutely not... Offered to put it on at a later time "if" I need it. Lets put it this way, I drove my red 2002 Camaro SS for over 3 years without a front license plate. I'll be just fine I think.

Is there a difference between the perrin, grimmspeed, and ptuning mounts? which is suggested?

i asked them not to but they wouldnt let me take it off the lot without the mount on my front bumper... god my dealership was such a pain im never going back there again. im going to go elsewhere for scheduled maintenance etc. :mad0259:
