Invidia catless front pipe with stock exhaust question

Hey guys. I'm wondering if I just got the invidia catless front pipe and installed it into my stock exhaust, how much of a difference would it make in the sound? I want a more aggressive tone to my fr-s and obviously the stock set up isn't doing it. Your thoughts?

I had the Motiv test pipe installed with the rest of the exhaust still stock, it sounds a lot better but if you had never rode in the car before you wouldn't know it's not factory.

I'd be careful taking a converter off in Cali but it is a good upgrade. I like the quality of the Motiv or MXP better than the Invidia.

it will be a little more aggressive probably a little rasp and it will also more then likely burn out the stock exhaust over time then it will really rasp.

What JoeBoxer said I have the Motiv test pipe on stock exhaust... As I'm writing this I think it might be better for a GoPro video. I'll throw one up tonight or tomorrow.

How the hell can the quality be better? They're both catless pipes... :iono:
The weld quality is better?!?

Run a high flow cat and help Gaia lift her chains of suppression from the birth children of her wondrous gift of reborn life on the green earth of the future human insert more hyperbole over dramatic statements and hippy talk here.

The finish and welds of the invidia look cheap to me in the pics I've seen, the motiv is made here in the USA and the service is excellent.

the stock exhaust is more restrictive then an after market and is not built to take on the added exhaust gases that you will get with taking out the cat. This process does take a long time so in short yes its a good idea just get and exhaust to handle it eventually.

So meaning the front pipe would just connect to the muffler or axel back essentially correct?

The front pipe connects to the overpipe on the front of it and the midpipe of the catback on the rear of it.

Joe is correct. I've owned Invidia products and their quality is very good, and I though I would be going with them again for exhaust parts for my BRZ. I ended up going with Motiv after seeing the quality of the tig welds. For a company to hire someone with such welding skills means that the quality is there and some thought was put into development.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Joeboxer, im new to this. Would you guys recommend mix and matching different midpipes, overpipes, frontpipes from different companies? And another noob question, would it make sense to add these after market midpipes etc to a muffler delete like the berk dual exit muffler delete for example. Thanks again :)

To each their own I guess, I've ran Invidia exhausts on 3 of my cars and never had a problem. At the end of the day IMO it's just a steel pipe, especially since were talking about the front pipe which essentially is a stright piece of pipe. I'd go for the lowest priced option
