So would it be allowed?

Thoughts:

Required $5 transfer to an account we would post on here.
Buy tickets with the money -PayPal fee
An hour prior to drawing would be the cutoff
All names that entered into the groupbuy will be posted
Tickets will be scanned and posted prior to the drawing

Who would technically 'own' the tickets? And what would stop them from claiming the money as their own (there is nothing legally stopping them from taking that money to buy some more parts for their FRS/BRZ ;) )?

The scans of the tickets would go to everyone so if the winning number is on one of the scans then it would be a group buy win. Maybe one of the mods could own them.

As much as this would be an awesome idea I think it would only increase our chances by like 30 out of 1,000,000,000. Although if I do win I would def donate some this site! Also finish building Palmer Raceway in MA!

One of the local news outlets today was doing a statistically valid "you are more likely to ... than win the lottery".

My favorite one, you are 3 times more likely to get killed by a falling coconut than winning the Powerball lottery.

Still, I couldn't help but buy at ticket this morning (I haven't bought a lottery ticket in 15 years). If I win it solo, I'm throwing a party for all ft86club members at AMP, with great goodie bags!
