Under panel cover?
 

so i noticed nobody is really looking into this that much but will anyone be making the missing under body cover that we don't have on this side of the ocean?:iono: I'd like to get the missing passenger side and full driver side covers for a reasonable price. A little less drag and better high speed stability is always good

thanks i saw this one, i was just wondering if any local companies were planning on producing them or the sti rear diffuser.

It's almost purely a cosmetic item... If I were to get these, they'd be only for the sound deadening/rust cover reason if not for just looks...

But I've already got undercoating so... not sure if I want to fork out $300+shipping for these for just looks.

Its not worth 300 $ at all but a smooth chassis provides great stability and drag reduction. Im glad it at least covers the engine bay.thats the worst part for turbulance

I disagree that it's purely a cosmetic item. What average driver actually looks under each car and comments on the underbody? You even mention it helps sound deadening/rust cover, which is actually does. So that alone would means it isn't 100% for cosmetics. Also there was a comparison in CD and the under panel kit did help. Barely but it still does help slightly

Its not just a cosmetic item. Under panels helps reduce your car's drag co-efficiency which means better fuel consumption and better stability in high speeds.

This is correct. If anyone has stood under a M5, z06, Ferrari, those cars aren't worried about sound reduction its to be more slippery! and that's what she said :-D

Have a look at the date of the original posts and price quote. Could well have changed since then.

The price has always been that. They are referring to the added cost of shipping them from oversees which was ~$120 for me. Furthermore, if anyone thinks reducing drag by .02 points is trivial then they don't understand the massive amount of research and development that car company's do to lower drag. This is one of the few mods that improve acceleration, effective downforce (through reduction in lift), handling, while also increasing fuel mileage.

I've been hoping someone starts making similar panels in the US as well. But the fact is that the tooling would be pretty expensive for those large panels, so I doubt anyone will touch it.

Why would anyone touch it when there is a factory option available that is probably as good as you are going to get? The cost is fairly reasonable and if you can get a couple others together to buy at the same time the shipping is reasonable as well.
