anyone notice excessive wind noise from windows?

At 60 mph hearing wind noise from the passanger side window. Sounds like the seal is not sitting firmly on the glass.

Anyone else notice this?

Pretty quiet for a lower cost sports car. My 11 GTI on the other hand, was like a windtunnel on the inside...so bad to the point that I couldn't use the bluetooth :(

There is definitely some wind noise. I appreciate it because it's a sportscar and not a luxury sedan that's silent and numb on the inside.

Strange...my '06 GTI is very quiet inside and I always thought the later GTI's were even quieter inside?

That said I think the BRZ is pretty quiet inside.

Some were good and others were bad. I had the dealer try to adjust the windows, and I even took the 4 other GTI's they had there out for test runs, and all were very noisy. At low speeds, the GTI cabin was like a vault though. I thought the wind noise was strange as well, considering it was a framed window (frameless designs like the FRS/BRZ are notorious for some wind "leakage"). My Genesis Coupe was like that, and so was my G35 Coupe.

For a coupe mine might be noisy but I wouldn't know. My last three cars were convertibles so compared to them my FR-S is quiet.

Yes, that is what I noticed. As a matter of fact the driver side is very quiet compared to the passenger side in my car. I looked at the window seals and the two sides look the same..nothing seems out of line on the passenger side. Weird

I have the same problem. The driver's side window makes no noise, but the passenger side is very noisy at highway speeds.

I have noticeable wind noise as well. becomes audible at 45 mph.

Dealer ran a diagnostics check and there were no codes thrown for the windows.

I also have the window plastic cracking as mentioned in this post:

(Downward looking shot)

Its present on both driver and passenger windows. Anyone have these cracks as well with no wind noise?

NotSoJDM 11-25-2012 10:22 PM

I have the same tears

BRZnut 11-27-2012 10:36 PM

I have the wind noise but none of those cracks

hNt 12-06-2012 08:21 PM

yea i picked up my car on 11/24 and have the same issue with air coming in thru the passenger side window

is there a fix for this? or do we live with it?

I would suggest that you stop in at your friendly Subaru dealer for any potential warranty issues.
