Free XM on BRZ?
 

I've had my BRZ since July 1, and I'm pretty sure after 3 months the XM subscription ran out.

Today, I decided to reset the ECU (just because) and as I was fooling with the radio (Nav reset, but all my radio presets were intact) I selected satellite and it was working. I didn't have all the premium stations, but I had all the ones I care about.

Why is this?

My brz expired on time, but my forester has had free xm for over a year. guess you're lucky!

That's probably it. Damn, I thought I was on to something. I guess it will also be working in my other car right now.

I've used XM like 3 times in the 3 months I had the trial. If they finally get to the point where they send me a letter saying they'll give me a year for dirt cheap, maybe I'll get it. But for now, I can't justify buying it.
