Issue: Cold starts

Anyone having issues with trying to start their car in below 0 temperatures? For the past couple of days, it is almost like the car can't even start up :mad0260:

you might wana consider a block heater in those climates

I haven't had any real issues, but I've noticed the engine turns over a LOT slower when the temperature is near freezing. Who knows what it will be like at -20. I haven't checked the CCA on the battery, but I suspect it is pretty weak (like <400 CCA). If that sounds like what you are experiencing, a new battery with higher CCA is the only real cure.

I've noticed cold starts in anything around zero, are a little slow. I think upgrading the battery might be on my short list of purchases for the holidays.

I had a feeling it could be the battery. Guess I will try out a new one. By any chance, which battery would you recommend?

We sell the oddessey battery, the best on the market and ultra powerful multi layer technologies. Not cheap but last forever.

I buy the sears platinum, it's made by odyssey for my truck. Dealers carry the pc680 that you can't get at sears, plenty juice and light compared to other Odessa options given your climate. Prolly well worth it
