2013 Redline Time Attack enthusiast class winning lap
Okay, so it's not our BRZ, but the BRZ wasn't ready in time (mostly from just having a fresh engine put in), so the decision was passed down that we'd be entering my personal car, an S2k. The entry was already paid for so we didn't really have anything to lose...
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCJZkm74hsw"]Redline Time Attack 2013 enthusiast class winning lap - YouTube[/ame] Interesting to note that there were almost no Evos and STIs in enthusiast class; they almost universally got kicked up to Street because the mods you can have in Enthusiast are so limiting. In fact, it's so limiting that I couldn't run my exhaust (J's Racing 70RR) and had the put the stock one back on... interesting... @Matt Andrews is putting down some good times in his FR-S in the Enthusiast class. Assuming he had to de-mod slightly like the S2K to fit i to Enthusiast but then again I don't really know what the class allowances are.
Nice work in the S2K though! Looks like the S2K will be the dream 'bogey' for FR-S & BRZ track guys and time attackers. :) Would be insteresing to see how the @robispec FR-S will compare to Matt Andrews' car when they're both uncorked, even if they might run in differe t classes. |
Robispec's FRS wouldn't fit into enthusiast. I'm not sure how much they're willing to discuss about what's been done with their car, so I'll let them volunteer information if they choose to give it out at this time, but they've done some very progressive work with their car.

Was good to see a lot of familiar faces I hadn't seen in a while. Here is a video shot from my FR-S. not the fastest lap of the day, but the one I caught on video. :) I'm still having issues with the rear getting into the bumpstops and unsettling the car. Working on a fix for that. Shot with an www.igloocase.com and Harry's Lap timer. |
im sorry we didn't get there earlier...matt have a fun concept I want to run by you...
