Saw the episode when it first aired. And have had that outlook since that day.
I was 5...

My dad used to watch that show daily and still talks about it. I need to see if I can find it in DVD.

Loved this show. When I was in Seattle once while the show was airing I went out to Roslyn, WA where it was filmed. Unfortunately it was the off film season, but since they used the actual town with a little of set dressing, it was literally like standing in the show.

While kids my age were watching Disney Afternoon and Nickelodeon.
I would watch crap like this also.

BTW that is totally an actual place. It's in Washington.

You can't tell it in the photo, but the apostrophe S was added during filming. The rest of the sign is painted and the addition is plywood. or at least it was when I visited.

The Brick across the street was a hopping dive bar before the show moved into town.

That looks like a fun day trip along the Yakima. I keep looking for the show to stream but I guess it's still too popular and/or expensive.

edit: OMG, it's on Prime! Watching the pilot now.

Twin Peaks was the original they were trying to emulate.
Seems it's over on Paramount

I'm noticing cinematic references to Twin Peaks.

Thanks. I just downloaded the first two seasons on my iPad since I will be out of town for work the next couple weeks and text my dad he can watch it on prime.
