Rattling From The Clutch
 

Hey guys, I just picked up my FR-S today and noticed that every time I depress the clutch, a subtle rattling/humming noise rises.

There are no other noises from the vehicle when the clutch is engaged and in gear, or in neutral idling, it is only when the clutch is pressed that the noise occurs.

I'm not sure if this is normal, or there's an issue.

Any info would be awesome, thanks guys.

hmm record the sound i want to hear it. could be since the vehicle has a light weight clutch it may or may not rattle while opened but i dont think that is normal. try to pop a sound clip up if its un natural id advise go to the dealer and tell them that its not normal as you know many other owners who do not experience such rattle. i dont believe i get that noise myself

I have the same issue as well. Typically occurs around 2500 to 3000 rpm. Took my car in back in December for an oil change and told the service rep. He said he noticed it as well and would take a look at it on my next scheduled service. And for the record, it gets so loud, pretty much any time I have passengers in my car, they notice it too.

I used to get this when I approached the first stop sign on my drive depressing the clutch. I actually haven't heard it in a long time now. :iono:
