Pacific Raceways' Gymkhana Drift - BRZ / FRS Event #3 (12.15.2012)

DRIVER REGISTRATION is now CLOSED. Ello All : This is it, the last GDNW event for 2012!! You all know the drill, but for the uninitiated, this is an ENTRY LEVEL / NOVICE event designed for one who wants to learn to drift and or learn the limits of your vehicle. Here's the reader's digest version ~ Date : Saturday, 15th Dec 2012 Venue : Pacific Raceways Parking Lot Time : 09:00AM - 5:00PM (DRIVER'S MEET @ 9:30AM SHARP) Driver Cap : 22 Drivers DRIVERS : IF YOU'RE NOT THERE @ THE MEETING, YOU'RE NOT DRIVING! http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...psfbf8d0ff.jpg *Red X is ingress, Blue X is egress. For this last event, we're going to go for a slightly modified layout that resembles what we happened to be using, but also one that was very similar to the recent Formula D Indonesia course... http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ual_bob/FD.jpg Price : Drivers : $50.00 via Paypal (registration closes 13th Dec Midnight.) When paying, make sure you include your full name and not your screen name. :) Spectators : $5.00 at the door - that means anyone else coming thru the gates! >>> Everyone will have to sign waivers. <<< Pre-Requisite : None. No experience necessary! Tech Inspection : All vehicles that will be on the course will go through a standard tech inspection. Additionally, should there be any leaks at any given time during the event, the vehicle will be turned back to the pits and have such said leaks addressed. Vehicles with leaks shall stay OFF the track until which time they don't leak anymore - NO EXCEPTIONS. *Seeing how most of us are going in our brand new vehicles, I don't see an issue with this. :) Safety : All attending drivers will be required to have a helmet! Seat belts must be in good working condition! ETIQUETTE ~ 1) SPINS : If you spin out twice per run, do not attempt to finish the run and proceed to your next staging area. 2) MOVEMENT AREA : While traveling from the pits to the staging area and vice versa, note that there's an enforced 5 MPH speed limit. That limit is strictly enforced and if violated, you will be pulled off the track and sent packing. Additionally, please DO NOT try to drift in the pits in an attempt to cool your motor down... 3) TIE DOWNS : Let's make sure that all TENTS should be weighted and SECURED! 4) ATTIRE : No SHORTS. No SHORT-Sleeved Ts. Dress for wet / cold weather! :) Gates open @ 9AM for drivers to get in and once in, please park and stage @ "Da Pitts" and await further instructions. I'm definitely interested. Do most people bring their own helmets or do these places have ones you can rent? (Or are we friendly enough to share with others?)
