Lost my key... Found my key

Accidentally threw away my keyfob while cleaning my room the other day. Could have been in one of six trash bags or two storage bins. I didn't realize till the garbage bags were basically being carried out of the garage on the way to the dump.

Those keys are EXPENSIVE! Panic!

Came up with this brilliant Idea:
Took turns putting bags near the door and seeing if it would unlock. Found the key in five minutes. Thank god for proximity key. Saved me hours of searching through my garbage bags.

Anyone asking if the Limited is really worth it. In this situation yes! (heated seats are nice too)

Happy Thanksgiving All!

LOL. Exactly what I was thinking about while reading this story.

Damn right they are expensive! I lost both keys. (I have regular keys, no prox sensor) They counter guy tells me "$150 for the first key & $100 for each additional key!" What a waste of $250...

LeeMaster 11-21-2012 12:27 PM

lool'ed

SalM 11-21-2012 12:41 PM

Hahahhah this made my day! Lmao! Glad you found your key man! Guess it really paid off lol.

That's one thing I say to customers when I hand them their new car keys. "This metal tag is a key code, should you ever need to replace a lost key. DON'T lose them though, because they've VERY expensive to replace."

chanomatik 11-21-2012 01:23 PM

I dunno. In the end you still put garbage next to your BRZ. For shame!

hahaha Good story, though! Appreciated.

BioRage 11-21-2012 01:26 PM

LOL I'm surprised you thought of that,

pretty sure most reactions would be to rip them all open and find it.
