Question about Bespoke
Next week (if all goes well) I'll be trading in my FR-S for another one (M/T :burnrubber:) and this particular car is coming with a Bespoke. After reading some comments about the system, I've heard mixed reviews, but I could careless about it not having a proper Nav. Thats what my phone is for. Just as long as it plays music and sync my phone ok. Now I was planning to pick-up an after market LCD Head unit if this car came with t he standard Scion player, but I figure I'll just save the money now and get accustomed to the Bespoke. My question is, does it sync contacts and can it dial them fairly easy with the screen? I have a SG3 btw.

I dont think the bespoke was meant for android, it plays really well with Iphones though, which I think it was meant for :-/. Id save the money and buy an aftermarket one. I wish i did.

Well I honestly didn't upgrade to it. Thats just the way its coming to the dealer. Its not really a gain or loss on my part since it won't effect what my payments are on my current FR-S, just a coincidence. I figured since its coming with one, I might as well use it.

It will store and sync contacts. It works well that way using bluetooth. I have a GS2 and worth fine with everyhting using bluetooth. You can look at your contacts and call history/log through the radio. Now there is no bespoke app for andriod. But that is just used to sync facebook and twitter.

Would the MT car happen to also be whiteout?
I have yet to see a whiteout w/o a bespoke from southeast toyota unless it was one of the first 86 ordered without it. |
Ok good. Yeah I could careless about Facebook in my car lol. But I will need an easier way to place calls which is why I asked. And yeah its a whiteout as well. Not really sure where my dealer is getting it from. I just called him up yesterday asking to possibly trade and he said he had one actually coming in next Saturday and if I wanted it or not.

The BeSpoke radio is a decent radio. But the BeSpoke app on iPhone sucks. I mean it is really terrible. It does sync your contacts via blutooth. and you can make and receive calls fairly easy from it. The contact searching is done with grouping your contacts in different letter groups like A-C, D-f, ... etc. then you page up/down to find your contact. It's not bad. And it's a higher output radio than the regular one.

For what it's worth my car came to the dealership without a radio in it and the dealer left it up to me to decide which one I wanted. I took the base unit and it probably took them 20 minutes to put it in, fill up gas, check the tires, etc. while we were doing the paper work.
