Grill delete and crash bar cover

So this is a poor mans rocket bunny. Simply pull the grill and make something to cover the crash beam. I took some plexiglass, painted it flat black and fixed it to the crash beam.

The radiator is exposed obviously but I have a wire mesh that will be going in close to the radiator to protect it. That's on the plate for tomorrow.

The ugly tabs are going to be removed, that's what held the stock grill on. This modification isn't for everyone and I can understand if some people think it looks like shit, but I don't care, I like the no grill look and it's my car.

I'm also going to relocate the horn since it looks ugly where it is.

I like... I wonder what it would look like painting everything flat black..

Replace it with a set of Hella Super Tones, the red would look good against the black.

thats one way to ensure you obtain damage from rocks and road debris, and I cant say I think its a visual improvement, but different strokes for different folks

are ya gonna put the grill back?

Grill is staying off.

I feel bad for the cat / rodent that gets caught in the roadway:barf:

But it does look nice :party0030:

Ha, the FR-S does have a stache! Instead it is just tucked away like front teeth!

Its the AC condenser, not the radiator in front. Just FYI. Radiator sits behind that.

Looks bad. But that's just my opinion <3

You should really consider shaving off all those tabs, because right now it looks really off.

lol, sorry - I skipped that part (I was on my way to a meeting). I think it looks good other than that, so once that's done I think it'll look really nice :)

DarkCard 11-19-2012 07:44 PM

eh... looks incomplete.

The little mounts for the grill kill it

digital_assassin 11-19-2012 08:13 PM

FYI to the OP - When you shave off the tabs the bumper plastic will be black. Make sure to get some touch up paint if it's available for the white out.
