Aluminum 1.5 Ton Racing Jack on sale at Harbor Freight

I know a few of us use these and think highly of them. Just noticed they're on sale at Harbor Freight this month. Normally $119.99, on sale for $89.99, and with the coupon in this month's circular (available online as well, print it out there or order it online directly) it's down to $59.99. Not bad for this jack!

I freakin love Harbor Freight, no lie!

Just bought my 2nd one this year (with a coupon this summer for $60). My 1st one is still going strong and turned 10 years old this year. Sometimes it is just handy to have two jacks for some jobs.

I just saw that. Think they were trying to lift up semis or are there really no good?

There are several different part numbers for 1.5 ton racing jacks. There seems to be two that are commonly on sale for ~$60, and one that goes for ~$120.

I've had a $59 one for 2 years with no issues, and it seems to work just fine on the BRZ. Not sure which model# it is. I've also seen a $59 model that blew an O-ring on the first use. Dude replaced all o-rings throughout with quality o-rings and refilled the fluid. It worked fine after that.

Always use jack stands.

YMMV

Item 68053 and 69252 are the same as far as I can tell. 69252 is the one the coupon online sends you to, but 68053 is what you end up with at the store (the coupon even references 68053).

Item 68054 is the non-compact version. It has the same weight capacity, but it's bigger and can raise 3 more inches I believe.

These jacks are good, like I said - there are a few of us on here that swear by em.

Also, there are two different listings for the same model (see above). The one that you actually get at the store has 4 stars with 35 reviews. The other one appears to be one they use for the online coupon and it only has 2 reviews.

The only issue I had with my 1st one was a burr inside the front roller that prevented it from turning. I took the front roller apart, smoothed things out, lubed it up (took less than half hour all told) and it has worked fine since. The heaviest vehicles I've lifted with it are probably my Mustangs.

The one I saw blow out on first use was also purchased at the store, FWIW.

Great price, my only question is will it reach the center jack point for the front of the car? I thought I read somewhere (of course i cant find the thread now) that one of these jacks that they offer doesnt quite reach because the point designated for the car is quite a distance back from the front bumper. I am definitely thinking about going out and buying it, just want to be sure I can do my oil changes and things with it (all ready have jack stands...bought those when they were on sale a few weeks ago from Sears.)

I've been using my HF aluminum jack for 7 years now with no issues... I'm going to pick one of these up since I could always use another.
