This car hates winter & rainy season?

I just drove car in the hard rain today. It's cold so needed to use heater. But as water splash through the front same time to the radiator heat vaporizes water and all that so smell of the vapor goes in the car. It made me nervous at first cuz thought something was burning or what's up w/ that?!

I drive mine in the rain all the time, have not really noticed this. Hmm...are you getting the smell through the vents?

I've driven mine multiple times in hard downpours and never noticed this, including recently with the heat on, but I typically have it on defrost/feet not vent so maybe that's why I haven't noticed it.

Huh?

You were using the heater, drove through a puddle, and smelled water vapor inside the car?

The radiator wouldn't vaporize anything, especially if it's cold outside. You probably smelled something splashing against the exhaust. What exactly makes you think that this car hates cold/rain?

I as well have yet to see this problem and driven through hard rain with this car before.

I made a 200 mile each way trip in the most torrential downpour, I could barely see at times, and never smelled anything, you may want to have that checked out.

This. I drive in the rain a lot here (lolvancouver) and haven't had any problems. Plus my car feels faster since it got closer to freezing temperatures outside. If you're getting new strange smells it might be worth getting it checked out.

Sounds like the OP hit a big enough body of water to splash water on the hot parts of the engine and it was hot enough to make steam.

This happens in all vehicles that hit a big enough puddle of water. Slow down for those, this isn't an SUV!

This car loves rain and now I love it too. Take advantage of the slick roads and do with this car what it is meant to do.

You'll be praying for rain in no time.

It's the first time again raining hard here in the bay. I was cruising in the freeway 65mph. Probably a half inch or so of water layer in the road where i went through at or you can say puddle of water. Then, after arriving in my destination i went outside immediately and that's when i smelled the vapor and saw coming from mouth of the car not too much but just a little steam you can see but it did not last long. My settings for vent is in windshield defrost and in warm level.
