Ask more questions ...

My wife says Yes to Gt86, but only if we rent a new house. What should I do?
We looked at this house, but I did not like it. But like the 86 verry much.

Lol keep the wife happy at all costs, and you too will be happy (with an 86 to boot)!

house before the car always -- cars will come later and easier in life...

(older dude)...

I'd rather have a car than stuck in a house I cant unload. But if you are renting find a place with a garage with enough space to play games with the car.

I would 100% agree normally, however he did say they would be renting. If that's the case, I say have fun and get the car. The grown man (with a house and kids) in me says to put the money into buying a house, as rikdrt1 is probably suggesting. Cars come and go, but there's no better feeling than owing your own home IMO.

How difficult would it be to purchase a house where the mortgage payments were actually less than what you would be paying for rent? That would sure make buying a new car a lot easier.

I wise man once told me "You can sleep in your car, but you can't drive a house"

Of course he met a nice girl, got married, and is currently selling his sports car.

I keep saying that to myself, but my wife knows how much I love having my sports car... I'm so thankful that I'm not in a situation where I have to ever let go of this interest of mine...

Of course, it helps when my wife lets me be happy after I satisfy my responsibilities, first and foremost.
