You guys need to take off your tinfoil hats. It was clearly a mistake. They saw the VSC, which would cause everyone to slow down, but then it was replaced by the actual SC, which allows everyone to speed back to the line. Also, Lewis has taken some blame, saying he thought he needed to come in, and everyone behind would follow.

This mistake was huge... and his engineer screwed the pooch. Hamilton's pit thought that as you stated everyone would come in but specially Nico so they wanted to get in and out as fast they could to maintain the position but Nico's engineer was smarter he saw Lewis pitting and told Nico to stay out and Ferrari followed suit. Political? don't think so that maybe Hamilton might think it was because after all Nico has now won there three times and just happens to be a resident of Monaco... LOL he was robbed plain and simple...

If Grosjean's really did brake test, then it would have been Grosjean that got penalized instead. Gonna have to agree with Massa and Villeneuve that he isn't ready for F1 yet. Next Senna? Perhaps next Jules Bianchi....

Massa was just waiting for Verstappen to make a mistake so he can jump up and down and shout that Max is not ready until he's purple in his face. Yet Massa made way worse mistakes in his first few seasons while being much older than Max when he made his debut. This guy needs to go, seriously, what a petty character.

I was a skeptic about Max too, but the pace he showed in Monaco, I do believe he's gonna be something special.

Max will be fine & better when he gets more experience. He's still better than some usual suspects on the field.

yes you are correct but the difference is that Nico has lived there since he was a young lad. His family lived there and that is where he grew up mostly, when not on the circuit tour with his father Keke (82 F1 Champion). Lewis on the other hand had his principle residence in Switzerland from 2007 till moving it (on paper still spends most of his time in England) in 2012 to Monaco.
