Probably not. But at least I can relish the fact that both Red Bulls are starting outside the top 10.

Merc may be flying away, but at least there is competition between them, instead of a one-man wonderboy show.

I am very happy that the "Vettel Show" is over.

It's refreshing to see different drivers and makes up front.

Sorry for not reading earlier, so idk if anyone has bought this up: How about Honda's return next year? Everyone else will be sorted out by then, so shit will be epic.

The sound shouldn't be an issue. If you love sound/noise, go to a NHRA and/or NASCAR short track.

Do F1 fans have the same 'enough is enough' when Vettel wins all the time like Nascar fans have with Jimmie Johnson winning all the time?

It wasn't so much that he was winning, it's how he was winning. When you have the fastest car that's good on its tires and has better aero than any car on the field, it becomes easier and easier to start from the first row, lead every lap, and win. It never looked like he had to struggle or work for it; the team did everything they could (sometimes at the cost of his teammate) to make sure he had as much advantage as possible.

Now that he doesn't have the fastest car, we see his true colors. A whining, complaining, frustrated child who can't stand being in the middle of the pack. Suddenly now he feels what Raikkonen, Alonso, Hamilton, Button, etc have felt the last four years.

Can't say that Rosberg was a very gracious 2nd place finisher......but that's what happens when you have big egos in a 'team' sport. Hamilton out-muscled him and got the win, without any contact, so he'll have to do better next week. Was a great race to watch and besides the Mercedes, the rest of the field looks pretty even competition wise.

It's embarrassing... 2 very talented Champions being passed @ will.

Oh, and I guess Vettel's RB is slower than Riciardo's on the straights. If you don't believe it--ask Vettel...

You could see in the straights he had no answer to riccardo… just look how easily he was able to pass hulkenberg in an area where the mercedes powered cars had a huge advantage… i'm sure that a little had to do with the aero setup but when i was checking there was nearly a 10kmh difference between the red bulls at the end of the straights…

I'm not standing up for vettel but there will always be differences between cars from the same team… look how much distance perez was able to pull on hulkenberg (probably the better driver of the two)…

^^^

That may be--but Vettel was out-driven by his #2 driver...

Great race! LOVE the competition between Nico and Lewis, although Nico could have been a better sport about coming in second...

That wreck was spectacular...it's funny he gets out of the car, you'd expect him to be terrified he almost lost his life, but he just seemed almost mad he'd have to wait a week to race again lol

cfusionpm 04-07-2014 01:35 PM

What's funny is there was so much fuss about the new noses being designed for safety, yet twice in one race they lifted or launched the struck car. One of them in spectacular fashion. Maybe the regs will be looked at and modified for next year... And as a happy coincidence, the cars can go back to looking sexy.
